8D

Bear mates

Pukipuki and PF Sugar

8D

A friend was kind enough to let me borrow her Pukipuki Kasidee (Literally meaning 8D in Finnish xP) for a commission / trade <3 So here are some Pukipuki-sized hats and a very happy model. Pukipukis are so cute, maybe one would fit in here as well...but I'd want a tan one. Fairyland's WS seems to turn greenish, and I don't want NS.

May your day be as happy as Kasidee's! 8D

Now in Blythe size as well!

Just a quick announcement / promotion this time:

Blythe sized, yay!

I tried making my hats for Blythes as well, and here's the second try. It's for sale in my Etsy, Sinisade will get to keep the first try which is a wee bit too small. Well, Blythe heads are very interesting in shape, large and oval, so I'm not surprised that the first one failed a little bit.

(I need to make a good introduction post about Sinisade, I know :D Here she is anyway in a pretty Licca dress. She's a fun and cute doll <3 )

Spring knittings in pastels

I recently finished a bigger commission where I was asked to knit three hats in various sizes (1/4, 1/6, tiny). The commissioner chose the colour schemes from my yarns and I picked the decorations:

Turquoise for MSDs

Mint green for tinies

Pink for YO-SDs

Pink for MSDs

I did one extra as well as I had lots of time on my Easter holiday. This was sold on my Etsy quite fast <3

Those rose beads are my current favourite, I bought them from Ebay along with lots of other beads. These days I buy almost all my beads and jewelry-making supplies from there as Chinese sellers offer them very cheap and the selection is massive.

And as I had a setup ready, I snapped two extra photos of dear Shua as well:

Springhair

Bit more casual

Her hoodie is by Xaya and those awesome gradient leggings are from Kawaiimon. These kind of clothes don't really hide the fact that Bluefairy heads are huge, but I don't care, she's still awesome. She has the most casual style of my MSD girls, of course done with pastels. Fairy kei is a huge inspiration, but I'm trying to keep it cool and together. I don't know what her style really is, maybe it's just Fair Children? xP

January's Etsy update

I finally finished the hats I did on my winter holiday, decorated 'em and listed 'em on Etsy:

Etsy updated!

You can find my Etsy HERE.

I must say I had the perfect timing as we finally got snow here in the southern Finland as well. Ah, how pretty everything looks now ;3;

Fish goes blob

Fish goes blob

Fishfish, my custom Monster High Lagoona by jesmo, worked as my model today. Apparently gloss and vinyl are not the best combination as her lips attract dust and dirt like there's no tomorrow. And it's hard, if not almost impossible, to remove, boo. I don't think it's possible to remove her face paint and get her re-painted, so she'll be like this until the end. Well, BJDs and MHs don't really compare anyway if you ask me :P But I still like playing with my two MH girls sometimes, they're fun dolls.

Kitty hats, attack

Fishy was the closest doll available for this knitting commission where I was asked to create two hats for Fairyland Chicline. It's fun to knit these small hats, so I thought of adding a couple to my Etsy store too. But which size? I no longer have Lati, so humm, maybe Pocketfairy?

Ldoll 2013

Teaser for Ldoll

Whoop!

This is the reason why I haven't posted much about dolly crafts lately. Ldoll festival is coming once again, and I'll send hats and other knitted things there. This is probably the last year though since I'll be starting a new job in August which has a different schedule and a salary raise. I'll no longer "need" my knitting side business so much to fund this hobby, so I've decided to just concentrate on Etsy and of course my own dolls. But this year you'll find my hats there! Sizes range from Pukipuki to SD, mostly on YO-SD and MSD, and as a test I'll make one or two for Blythes / Leeke's bobble heads too.

Speaking of Leeke's bobble heads, I really wouldn't mind giving home to this precious creature if I already didn't have Ariana *_* That Lovely B skin...I know I shouldn't even think about buying Tirlittan a friend, but I do. Luckily or unfortunately I need to save up some money for our trip to Riga, so no surprise doll purchases this summer! I also need some new shoes for myself, more than a new doll. But still, it's a beautiful doll. And I want a doll in lavender / grey skin one day. Luckily Bluefairy doesn't make dolls in fantasy colors xP

March's Etsy update

March's Etsy update

I update my Etsy store with two new MSD-sized rose hats. Lots of bling in these ones, I maybe got bit carried away...

Otherwise no big doll news, except that I managed to get a very promising job opportunity. I promised myself that if I get that job, I'll reward myself with something small and cute from Bluefairy. Fingers crossed!

Roses, sequins, beads

WIP2

Mint for her too

Here are some shots of new hat designs I've been preparing. Okay, that PF-sized kitty rose hat is mine, but the rest are going to this year's Ldoll festival for sale. I'm really into making those ribbon roses now although mine aren't very tidy. I know the proper way of making 'em, but I'm lazy, so I just usually take some ribbon and whip it around. I think they look better with some, uh, chaos added xD (and usually when I'm around, there's plenty of chaos!)

Tallinn was great again! We visited all those three big craft stores, Karnalüks, Abakhan fabrics and Kangadzungel. This time we took a taxi from the harbour to the are where the stores are located and shopped to our hearts' content! I got some new lace, yarns (this time no mint green!), embroidery threads, random sewing accessories like buttons and uh...tons of beads and sequins which are so cheap in Tallinn it's not even funny ;3; Afterwards we went to have some coffee and snacks at local Stockmann's cafe which is a nice place, fair prices and tasty stuff, and it was almost empty even they had of course their local Hullut Päivät.

Then we walked to Virukeskus and shopped some random things, I got myself a bright neon yellow Konad nail polish and earrings from Hello Kitty store. After picking up some salad and random refreshments it was time to head to our ship cabinet, eat, relax and admire our purchases. Definitely an awesome trip!

I put some photos of my purchases to my Tumblr as I think they have much better photo interference than Blogger :-3

And now I have many small projects to finish o/

Mister Gravity

Gravity!

Here for the first time - and for the last time as I took this photo for his sale post. Nifty and personal head with lots of character, but unfortunately all too small to work with my crew :(

If someone wants to give him a good home, let me know! He is white-skinned, pinky white to be exact, quite small and realistic and a charming fellow. Aria is quitting so you're not able to order him anymore.

Mint with mint

And what's an update without my animal hats? xP This one's a gift for my friend, but I made a similar one, just with kitty ears, for Griselda. Yes, mint again. I'm all for mint these days, for my dolls and for myself! Myself, I've purchased mint skinny jeans, several nail polishes and am even pondering a mint-coloured wig. Yes, for myself. Spring's really coming :D

The fawn's new knits

A dreamlike thing Hoof-warmers

I finished some knittings for Idris, a hat with beads, sequins and a filingree butterfly + a set of hoof-warmers. Made with Rose Mohair Lux, Novita's Rose Mohair is my favourite yarn for dolly knits these days. It's reasonably priced, very adequate and the colours are very pretty. You can also spot Idris' new ears which came from Leeke. Don't ask how they come through her hat, it's a very special dream magic. Leeke says they are fox ears but bah, they are so fawn ears it's not even funny!

Speaking of hats, my hats did quite well in this year's Ldoll <3 Thanks to all who bought or at least looked! I have some big plans regarding the next year, but you'll hear more of them later ;3

And finally, since I did make some profit with my sales, there just might be some new resin coming. Not yet, I promised to order together with a friend who needs some time to arrange her things, but this winter anyway. My first anthro doll :D I hope everyone's doing great in the dolly front!

p.s. Blogger's new interfece is bit confusing but quite nice, don't you think?

Needles have sung

Circus hat

I of course forgot to photograph the pile of knitted hats I made for Ldoll, but here's one sample of some of the new designs. I love all things striped and circus-themed as I'm quite sure you've already noticed ;3

Mocha and lace

And I finished Idris' first outfit, consisting of a corset top and lace skirt. I think I've found her colour scheme, it's creamy and quite natural. Yay!

L-doll 2011: a sneak preview

New hats

New hats

New hats

I will be participating in this year's Ldoll festival in Lyon, France - well, sort of. Sadly I'm not able to go there myself, but my friends will have a selling booth there where we will be offering nifty handmade BJD clothes and such. I, of course, will send some knitted hats with them. So if you're going there, please stop by our table and have a look :3

The pictures are of hats I've made for the event. New designs, new yarns, cute things and uh...stuff. Sizes range from Realpuki to MSD.

Maybe I'll be able to attend the next year ;3;

--

Also, I wanted to try out Tumblr. It seems quite trendy, maybe bit too much for me, but you cannot know unless you try it. I admit, I never thought to use it for BJD purposes until I found people posting my photos there :P

Which reminds me that I don't mind my photos being re-posted elsewhere (hey, it's free promotion!) but I'd like to get some credit. A link to this blog is just fine :)
