About Etsy and other stuff

Hello! Just a quick heads-up that I've temporarily converted all my Etsy items into free shipping :3 There is a catch though - our postal service Posti is having various strikes, and the delivery times are something I cannot predict. And with Christmas shopping season ahead...grrrrh. It's not looking very bright at the moment :< I've been waiting for some packages for weeks now.

Thanks to this situation I'd now rather avoid sending anything via mail until it clears up a bit :( Luckily I have no dolls coming, but one little Nendoroid is somewhere out there. Hope he makes through this chaos and comes home soon!

Comparison and promotion

While shooting hat photos for Etsy, I took quickly this shot of my two tanned tinies. Aesthetically they're from different worlds, but I don't really care as they are both very cute in their own way. Bluefairy's tan is lighter, not so reddish and I think I like it more, but Pukifee's posing kicks butt. Luckily you don't have to choose, you can just buy both ;3

Oh, and I listed three new Pukifee hats on my Etsy. Ta-dah!

And now to hunt for some ice cream. I went through a mouth operation this week, so I've been a small sick leave since then. I've spent it well by watching Korean dramas and knitting for dolls. Can't say it was the best experience of my life, but at least I have doctor's order to eat ice cream as much as I desire xD

Now in Blythe size as well!

Just a quick announcement / promotion this time:

I tried making my hats for Blythes as well, and here's the second try. It's for sale in my Etsy, Sinisade will get to keep the first try which is a wee bit too small. Well, Blythe heads are very interesting in shape, large and oval, so I'm not surprised that the first one failed a little bit.

(I need to make a good introduction post about Sinisade, I know :D Here she is anyway in a pretty Licca dress. She's a fun and cute doll <3 )

Happy Valentine's Day to all my blog readers! Actually we call it "a friend's day" in Finland so I went with that theme. Gris and Gert are each other's best friends despite occasional drama especially when it comes to sharing food. Well, that's sisterly love for you I guess? The miniatures are from Re-ment.

Remember to eat lots of chocolate today <3

p.s. I updated my Etsy store a little bit with two new hats, going with an earthy brownish theme this time. I'm trying to seriously reduce my yarn stack, my yarn box is seriously overflowing...and yet I bought some new yarns from Tallinn again. Can't help an addiction, I guess xP

Twinkle twinkle with new things

I decided to improve little Tuike's looks and make her more like my own <3 So she got new urethane eyes from MehiArt and wig from Dollwig - both highly recommended! Especially Dollwig is a goldmine for those searching for small wigs. Size 4-5 (Pocketfairy size) is very hard to come by, but she has a nice selection and is super nice. My wig arrived with a free teddy bear and the most adorable package I've seen a while. The wig itself is very nice, silky and super smooth.

And Mehiart's eyes are of course always so pretty and sparkly. I currently own three pairs and want more *_*

January's Etsy update

I finally finished the hats I did on my winter holiday, decorated 'em and listed 'em on Etsy:

I must say I had the perfect timing as we finally got snow here in the southern Finland as well. Ah, how pretty everything looks now ;3;

Light for the dark season

The days are getting shorter and much darker as we are approaching winter solstice. I love winter, but  the lack of light is very depressing. So I decided to buy some new photography equipment just to be able to photograph more:




I bought a cheap foldable light box from Ebay (similar to this one) and a better tripod. This is probably the best I can do now: daylight is always daylight, but I cannot control the sun.

Liduse is my current favorite, she's so eerie and strange, yet very beautiful. Too bad that Notdoll seems to be out of business, they had so fun and different dolls. Her body is very wonky and odd, but it's okay and has nice proportions. And her skin tone (crystal rose) is very pretty, a sort of pinkish white with grey shade, very unique! Her "default" wig arrived too from Mini Fairy Tale; the quality is very nice.

I'm very happy to have this girl <3

Etsy update + Bibi says hi!

First off, I got back my hats from Ldoll. This year wasn't a huge selling success, but still, thanks to everyone who bought one <3 I listed some remaining hats to my Etsy and will probably add some more as I add more bling into them.

And who is this lovely doe-eyed girl who's wearing that hat?



Well, she is Bibi, my new Bluefairy Sarang. Actually she's not that new because she's from 2008, a second hand girl that I spotted from our forum's marketplace for a good deal. I've been eying Sarang a long while and been dreaming of tanned/baked Sarang. As of course it's not guaranteed that Bluefairy will ever release one, I decided to just cave in and buy her in NS for now.

She is such a cute sculpt and apparently stole my Olive's eyes and clothes xP That creamy mori-influenced style works better with her, I think, so I switched their styles. Olive will get something different that I originally ordered for Bibi, and Bibi gets to be that sweet button-eyed forest girl. I think that will suit her very fine <3

March's Etsy update

I update my Etsy store with two new MSD-sized rose hats. Lots of bling in these ones, I maybe got bit carried away...

Otherwise no big doll news, except that I managed to get a very promising job opportunity. I promised myself that if I get that job, I'll reward myself with something small and cute from Bluefairy. Fingers crossed!

Tiny Snow White + Etsy update

Here's a better shot of Gris in Marine Scout Didi's wig and in a new knitted dress I made for her. She looks like a small Snow white, don't you think?

Frills and sins

Lately I've been going crazy in Etsy's supply section and have ordered for example polka-dotted bias tapes, cute stickers and jewelry parts. Let's not talk about how much I've spent...but damn it, Etsy and its dangerous temptations, I tell you >:(

Meital's new underdress is made from some cream-coloured tulle lace I found there amongst the other pretty things. The lace itself is so beautiful that it needed nothing but a waistband. Simple and cute! It goes very well with Meital's creamy "Rumba" skirt. "Rumba" is the name for that frilly fabric which our local biggest fabric store chain sells. It's very popular amongst us Finnish dolly sewers ;3

I have an itch to pamper my princess M some more...
