Comparison and promotion
While shooting hat photos for Etsy, I took quickly this shot of my two tanned tinies. Aesthetically they're from different worlds, but I don't really care as they are both very cute in their own way. Bluefairy's tan is lighter, not so reddish and I think I like it more, but Pukifee's posing kicks butt. Luckily you don't have to choose, you can just buy both ;3
Oh, and I listed three new Pukifee hats on my Etsy. Ta-dah!
And now to hunt for some ice cream. I went through a mouth operation this week, so I've been a small sick leave since then. I've spent it well by watching Korean dramas and knitting for dolls. Can't say it was the best experience of my life, but at least I have doctor's order to eat ice cream as much as I desire xD

A small cocoa bean
Oh look what the cat dragged in...wait, we don't have a cat.
Back in the Pukifee camp, it seems. This little cutie is a tan Pukifee Luna which I got from our Finnish doll marketplace for a very good deal <3 I named her Kiku which means "chrystanthemum" in Japanese. It was also the name of my husband's and my very first server, how nostalgic!
Gosh I've missed owning a Pukifee - their posing is just so good compared to all the other similar dolls I've owned. My white-skinned ones had yellowing issues, but this tan should handle it better. It's also a very pretty shade, milk coffee with a hint of red. Shhh, I might want a tan buddy to Kiku in the future...

Speaking of Pukifees, I'm preparing something for them on Etsy as well <3 I will post about it here when I get them ready, photographed and listed - that's always a task of its own.

Tan dreams and a lavender doll
I've lately been through my own Flickr stream and looking at my Enne (Pukifee Ante version). I miss her at times a lot, she was such a little cutie and posed so well. Too bad that her creamy resin turned into green, and my Pocketfairies kinda stole her place, but yeah.
I've ended up selling all my 16 cms away (Pukifee Ante, Pukifee Luna, Latidoll Lea, Asleep Eidolon Peppermint), but I still think I might want my luck with one in the future. A friend gave me an idea to try a tan Pukifee if Fairyland still releases them in the future :3 That might work well since I really like Pukifees, but I had such bad luck with their WS and I'm trying to concentrate on special resins now. Their tan seems really nice <3 I haven't decided the mold yet, we'll see...
Of course I'm also always interested if Bluefairy releases more tanned Tinyfairies :D There is always space for a tan TF girl in my doll collection.

I also caved in and ordered a Blythe doll. She's Lavender Hug, and I chose her entirely because she has a pastel hair :P She's already in Finland, so I should recieve her very soon. I ordered her some Licca dresses from Ebay, and I also have some Dollybirds with Blythe patterns <3
I mostly ordered her because I want to make stuff for Blythes as well, and she is really cute. A Jerryberry doll is also on my wishlist, and maybe a Middie Blythe? My Blythe will be called Sinisade which means 'wisteria' in Finnish, chosen because of her hair color of course. I would like to change her eye chips into something cuter, but we'll see if I ever get it done :P
I'm quite excited, it's been years since I last had these big-headed dolls! (I started my doll hobby with Pullip dolls but sold them all away as BJDs came.) I'm glad that I've learned to take it easy with this hobby - not all dolls have to be masterpieces with rich characters and awesome styles and you don't have to hug them everyday and cry with happiness when you see them. You can have dolls which are just cute and have absolutely no other function. That's what Sinisade will be - she won't get a character, she will sit in the shelf when I do other things. But she will be damn cute when she does that!

Small things and woes
If only we had some snow and light here...the weather has been so sucky recently. Gloomy, wet, no snow, just rain and darkness. Artificial light has been most uninspiring, so instead of playing with dolls I have played Elder Scroll: Skyrim and planned our new pet mice I will pick up after Christmas :-3 The big dolls have recieved little to no attention, and my BJD stories are waiting for new fresher ideas and inspiration. Calm before the storm, I hope?
But luckily I'm not the kind of hobbyist who goes desperate in situations like this. I still love my dolls dearly and am making small plans for them all the time. And Bluefairy has shipped my Didi who will hopefully arrive just in time for Christmas <3
The little white bunny is Tamdoll's ball-jointed animal doll that I bought through Strapya, by the way. It's probably not technically a "proper" BJD since it lacks changeable eyes and stuff, but I think it's very adorable. I named him Sauerkraut and even gave him a character. You'll hopefully be seeing him around!
p.s. I got hooked on Tumblr quite badly. I post lots of dolly/miniature things there - and just generally things I find inspiring. So if you are ever bored of my blabberings and just wish to look at pretty pictures, head there!

Little angels
This is Unni <3 I made a brave trade proposal if a fellow BJD person would have liked to trade her Pukifee Luna (that was for sale) to my Latidoll Lea, and it worked out just perfectly.
Here are some other pics what I took of the "new" addition and her best friend:
They both have the sleeping plates as well <3

Wintertime
Some changes are coming up amongst my tinies. I traded Unni, my Latidoll Lea, into something else, you'll see :P
And I bought a new tiny doll, Bluefairy's Strawberry Didi!

Pukifee swap, summer 2011
Although I don't browse Den of Angels so much these days, there is one thing that I try to find there - the Pukifee swaps! I think I've participated in all of them, and all have been a great experience. This summer's swap was called Hopes and Dreams, and we got some really nice things :3

A BJD-scaled dollhouse (just how cool is that?) and three cute dresses for a precious bobblehead <3 I have actually been looking for a dollhouse prop, so it was a pleasant surprise. Thank you, shiatar, and I hope there will be more swaps in the future :3
p.s. A random funny thing: when I put together my swap gift, I ordered some miniature doll cookies from Ebay. I was very amused when they arrived in a letter closed with some yellow tape stating OPENED BY THE CUSTOM'S OFFICE. I would have liked to see the face of the custom's officer who carefully opens my letter and alas, discovers no drugs but a jar of miniature cookies. The things people order!
