I made Kiku a new dress and a hat to match her current colour scheme of blue and turquoise :3 That's why I love tan skin so much - it looks so nice with bright pastel colours. She's such a fun little doll, always ready to inspire no matter what. So happy I bought her <3

Twinkle twinkle little eyes

Ah, home sweet home! Our trip went well, but it's so nice to back <3 I really missed my dolls and my computer, hehe. I have photos I took of Tove in Sweden, but editing them takes a little while.

But here's a small update - I finally remembered to buy proper-sized eyes for Kiku from Fel Eyes. I had previously ordered her a pair of 12mm eyes, but they were too large. Now I got her a pair of 10mm ones, and they fit perfectly <3 These are probably the best-looking eyes you can get for 4 euros xD No, seriously, they may be just acrylic but the colours, patterns and themes are really to my liking. You may have noticed I like pastel colours and sparkly things for my dolls xP

I used TB Sourcing Service as the dealer, and everything went well. I especially liked their reasonable mailing options - everything from a standard bulk airmail to EMS/DHL. Their English is occasionally bit clumsy though, and their website loads forever and acts bit odd, but I'm used to it as I've been shopping Asian BJD shops for so long xD;

Hmm, I wonder if any other of my dolls would need new super sparkly eyes?

Edit: Sigh, fighting with Flickr new photo-sharing HTML...this change sucked. Luckily I got 'em to display without frames, titles and whatnot. But please bring back the old system :(

Chocolate children

Yay, I got two of my tanned smaller dolls back from a makeup artist <3 These were done by shibya, and yet again I'm so very happy with her skills. They both look awesome!

Hal

First off is my tanned Angelregion Ren, Hal. Whoops, a funny thing happened and he changed gender from a girl to a boy/something. Hehe, well, Angelregion heads are unisex and he just looks more like a boy to me now.

He does not have a boy body though, I admit :P Angelregion's tan dolls are limited editions, old and rare, and I'm not even sure if Angelregion is in the BJD business anymore. So hunting down a tan boy body would be very difficult, and I don't want to mod this girl body as it's so rare. Luckily old Bluefairy/Angelregion girl bodies are not the most feminine ones out there, so I'm sure he'll pass well enough as a boy. I'm not going to photograph him naked anyway, I just don't do that with my smaller dolls. And hey, seriously speaking, what does it matter what's between his legs if he has the soul of a boy, really?

Chocolate child

And here's Kiku (Pukifee Luna) with a new neutral, more natural face :3 It doesn't maybe suit her star eyes so well, but I ordered her some new sparkly acrylic eyes from Fel World in Taobao. My first Taobao purchase, exciting! We'll see how this goes, seems like a dangerous road xD

I attended a small meetup of local Azone /doll collectors the last weekend - no photos from me, sadly. I didn't bring my Canon along as I was lazy, and my iPhone is practically useless in such bad lightning :< But you can look at Sherimi's photos for example! I had a merry time, the people were really nice, and I got some dolls for my wishlist xD; Yes, I need a Picconeemo, and yes, an Azone with XS body...graaah. Addicting stuff :B Thank gods my BJD wishlist is very small right now!

Pssst!

"Yay, new hands!"

I'm quite addicted to Instagram these days (bit too much even, sorry! xD;). So if you want to see lots of doll photos, I can be found at https://instagram.com/thefairchildren/ :) See you there, maybe?

(Shiri wanted to show off her cool new hands - love that yay sign!)

Pukifee knitted dresses

Finally this pattern works and looks good - I have no idea why it's always so hard for me to create knitting patterns xD Maybe because it involves counting and stuff...anyway. Here's a couple I've finished:

PKF knitted dress - mint

PKF knitted dress - pink

Kiku is a good model as always. And she looks awesome in brown hair too! Fairyland's tan is such an easy shade, everything looks good with it. I think I'll just keep a stack of random wigs for her since everything works. At least something is easy in this hobby <3

p.s. I'll soon have another little doll in the house to wear these dresses! I've bought a Pipos Ringo in mint resin colour <3

(Photo from Pipos.)

So here's my first anthro BJD, and of course in a pastel shade. I'm very happy to give her a good home: she comes second hand and was looking for a home for a while. I have no big plans for her, except that I want a pair of Oscardoll's eyes for her.

(In Finnish: suomalaiset, voisin järjestää tuonne pienimuotoisen yhteistilauksen kunhan saisivat englanninkieliset sivunsa kuntoon ja tuonne jotain tilailtavaakin ^^; Jos on jotain intressejä silmiä kohtaan jo nyt niin voipi ilmoittaa. Tilaan kuitenkin vasta kun sivut ovat kunnossa, enkä tietenkään tiedä milloin näin käy xD)

p.p.s. I've been cleaning this blog a little bit: removing entries where photos were broken thanks to Flickr's hiccup and other stuff that's outdated. I'm trying to improve this blog in the future with longer entries and better large photos :)

Star rompers

Kiku's new rompers ♥

Good Sunday! I did a small craft trade with Choupicouture - I made hats and got these super cute rompers for Kiku <3 Isn't she adorable or what?

(She's also apparently pastel-haired again, well whoops...pastels just go so well with tanned skin. Let's see if this one is a keeper or if I shall return it to my Monster High girl. It's an older Dollheart wig that my old Pukifee Ante wore once.)

Summer cocoa

Summer cocoa

I'm currently in a state of doll recession, I guess, as the dolls aren't really inspiring me at the moment :/ The heatwave is taking its toll on me, my job started and it's been rough, and I'm suffering from post-Asia depression of sorts and just want to go back xP I've been in this before, so I know what to do - don't sell dolls and just do something, no matter how small. Like post some photos online. The better times will come, they always have!

I did however some doll things on my summer holiday: attended some gatherings, made some small crafts here and there, updated my Etsy and visited Volks' showroom in Japan. Too bad you cannot bring spray cans on the plane, otherwise I could have brought lots of MSC ;_;

A small cocoa bean

Oh look what the cat dragged in...wait, we don't have a cat.

Meet Kiku!

Tumbling

Back in the Pukifee camp, it seems. This little cutie is a tan Pukifee Luna which I got from our Finnish doll marketplace for a very good deal <3 I named her Kiku which means "chrystanthemum" in Japanese. It was also the name of my husband's and my very first server, how nostalgic!

Gosh I've missed owning a Pukifee - their posing is just so good compared to all the other similar dolls I've owned. My white-skinned ones had yellowing issues, but this tan should handle it better. It's also a very pretty shade, milk coffee with a hint of red. Shhh, I might want a tan buddy to Kiku in the future...

Speaking of Pukifees, I'm preparing something for them on Etsy as well <3 I will post about it here when I get them ready, photographed and listed - that's always a task of its own.
