Attack of the pastel kitties!

Today a dolly friend came over and brought her two Pipos kitties along <3 Malva was thrilled to have some pastel playmates, and of course I had to take some photos:

Augh, this cranberry Ringo. I want one too ;3; I thought I had gotten over the urge, but now when I saw one IRL, the need is strong, I tell you!

New Pipos mint resin vs. the old one. Mimosa is darker than Malva and has different hands and tails.

Meital was ready to adopt them all right away xD Well, she loves kitties more than anything. Sadly Mimosa and Alma already have an owner, so she'll just have to do with Malva alone :P

Luckily these photos cheered up an otherwise sucky day ;_; Our little baby mouse is really sick, she has something wrong with her tummy. It might be a bowel obstruction or something she was born with and triggered by moving to a new pack. Or in worst case, a tumour, which unfortunately means only one thing. I try normally not get too emotional with mice, because they are fragile creatures and live just one or two years. But little Rúndís is just eight weeks old, she's just a pup :( It just feels so unfair. Right now she's in a separate cage, loaded with pineapple (it should help with her bowel system), nutrition gel, food and easy access to water. I hope she makes it ;3;

Edit: Unfortunately she had to be put to sleep this morning ;_; Rest in peace, little sweetie! ;3;

Pukifee knitted dresses

Finally this pattern works and looks good - I have no idea why it's always so hard for me to create knitting patterns xD Maybe because it involves counting and stuff...anyway. Here's a couple I've finished:

Kiku is a good model as always. And she looks awesome in brown hair too! Fairyland's tan is such an easy shade, everything looks good with it. I think I'll just keep a stack of random wigs for her since everything works. At least something is easy in this hobby <3

p.s. I'll soon have another little doll in the house to wear these dresses! I've bought a Pipos Ringo in mint resin colour <3

(Photo from Pipos.)

So here's my first anthro BJD, and of course in a pastel shade. I'm very happy to give her a good home: she comes second hand and was looking for a home for a while. I have no big plans for her, except that I want a pair of Oscardoll's eyes for her.

(In Finnish: suomalaiset, voisin järjestää tuonne pienimuotoisen yhteistilauksen kunhan saisivat englanninkieliset sivunsa kuntoon ja tuonne jotain tilailtavaakin ^^; Jos on jotain intressejä silmiä kohtaan jo nyt niin voipi ilmoittaa. Tilaan kuitenkin vasta kun sivut ovat kunnossa, enkä tietenkään tiedä milloin näin käy xD)

p.p.s. I've been cleaning this blog a little bit: removing entries where photos were broken thanks to Flickr's hiccup and other stuff that's outdated. I'm trying to improve this blog in the future with longer entries and better large photos :)

Seeing double?

I had some (doll) friends visiting some time ago, jesmo and another friend with her adorable infant daughter. I couldn't resist taking a photo of our Pipos Dreaming Maris. Of course I sent them tumbling down, "whoops", luckily nothing bad happened to Nightmare Alice's face up. My own doll doesn't matter so much :P

Now when I look at this photo, I just can't help thinking how boring Mari's default faceup is. It's pretty, but boring, especially those eyebrows. Luckily jesmo has promised to my saviour and give her a new look with bit more attitude and sparkle <3

What's up?

Here she is, the mysterical trade doll I spoke about earlier! If you don't recognize her, she's Pipos Dreaming Mari with default face up. I decided to call her Hiu. She'll likely lose her face up and get a new one, and her wig is on its way from South Korea. Then she needs some clothes, she has nothing at the moment. She's wearing one of my hats though that I'm making for this year's Ldoll festival. Yep, I'm participating again with my sale stuff! This may be the last year though.

Flickr's new layout has caused quite the ruckus. I just purchased a pro account for two years, so I will continue to use it just as I've used to. I use it to host photos on this blog and forum(s), it would be quite the hassle to switch. I personally don't think the new layout is an improvement, but it's okay, it works and I can upload and share photos. And with this "upgrade" their uploader started to work with my computer, so I'm fine <3 Actually I was more pissed off when Flickr all randomly froze part of my photostream and I had to switch to pro account just to get my photos working again. And they didn't reappear but I had to manually go through gazillion forum posts and re-type the codes. Grah, THAT sucked!

On a happier news I found a body to my Notdoll Ligaya head <3 The first part is already paid, I'm doing a small layaway. I found a white-skinned Notdoll lady body from DOA and with a good price tag, so I'm checking this one out. We'll see how it works, I heard that Notdoll's resins can vary but at least the neck size should work. And I had some crazy plans to get the head on a totally different body, so if the resins fail, I have a great plan B ;3

Bunny in the library

I helped a friend today to shoot some BJD photostories with our RPG/doll characters. And since I had my camera with me, I wanted to snap a few shots of a friend's Pipos Dark Rabbit since the setup was so superb. Just look at that stained glass window <3

p.s. Okay, it's not a library, it's a study really.
