A little mouse's adventure

Happy (very belated :D) Easter to everyone! I spent mine with my family, eating chocolate eggs, knitting and watching anime. I did have a doll with me - I had packed Griselda (Bluefairy Strawberry Didi) with me as I haven't yet photographed her with her new Dollwig wig. So here are some photos!

I can't say it was the easiest outdoor shooting, though ^^; The weather was chilly, occasional freezing raindrops, and Gris is like a noodle. I'm so lazy at restringing my dolls, but I really should do something about it even though I really dislike stringing tiny dolls...

Haha, she reminds me of Little My from the Moomins now xD Well, suits her spunky little character.

I would have liked to photograph more by this small creek, but the water seemed freezing and I didn't want to drop myself, Gris or my camera in there xP I must return in the summer, definitely!

As you can see, the lake behind her is still totally frozen. Ah, I miss summer...I do like outdoor photography, but it's much nicer when you don't need to freeze your fingers and knees while crawling in the forest :P

Yay, Kotori!

Uh oh. It isn't easy, this hobby, I tell you. Once you follow fellow doll hobbyists, they start posting even more cute stuff. Like Azones. And I got four. And Nendoroids. I may have bought some :D And then lots of other cute anime figures. And uh oh, then I kinda lost it when I visited Amiami's blog xD;

Love Live is a popular series amongst Finnish Azone people right away - I watched the first season from Crunchyroll during the Easter holidays and I must admit I really liked it. Yep, I know, it's a light-hearted anime about idols, but it's very well-made one. The characters were good (okay, I found some girls bit annoying but nobody was TOO much), the animation was pretty and the plot was well-thought too. The music was happy, and I liked the girls' costumes. So what else do you really need? Not everything needs to be so damn serious all the time xD

So as I came across this in Amiami's blog, I just...I dunno. It clicked. It didn't matter if it's bit on the expensive side, it's my favourite of the girls (I like Kotori, Nozomi and Eli the most ^^) and her appearance is awesome. I love the combination of turquoise and gold, her single striped sock, that crown, heck, I don't care, where's that preorder option...

So I got her to start off a small figure collection <3 Luckily I am quite picky, but I thought I could get a few of my favourite characters. I'm sure I'm already a lost case with my resin crew, so little bit of pretty sparkly plastic surely does no further harm, right? :P

But isn't she just pretty? *3* And her style is very much something my dolls would wear!

Lila's arrival

Today's the day when my Azone duo became a trio! Okay, the photo up there totally spoils who's the third girl xD I really like this box design and those adorable portraits.

Here is Lila, Classic Alice Tick Tock Rabbit Himeno (Straight Smile Version) <3 Whew, Azone dolls have long names xD;

The quality of her dress is just superb. All those tiny pintucks ;3; Even though this outfit isn't maybe exactly anyone's style here, I'm still keeping it. And that teeny-tiny clock necklace, awwww!

I really like her expression, even if it may be bit blank. Her character is an eccentric mori girl who lives under a fir tree and speaks with metaphors and riddles, so it suits her very well. Let's say her character's greatest inspiration was the anime Paranoia Agent, so uhm, yep. Works.

Shiri: "Heya there. Cute outfit. I'll take it."
Lila: "Three brown mice ate all the seeds."

Since they're from the same series, I thought Shiri and Lila might be cousins. And yep, they have bit of an odd relationship xD

Little Wolf Koron - I want!

...okay, she's not even released yet, but I think I found a fourth girl which I very much want xD

So Azone is releasing Koron, which is a doll I very much like, with that cute :3 - expression, and with silver hair and just lovely light eyes <3

I've been looking at Koron for a while to see if there is a version which "clicks" and with reasonable price. (Well, what is reasonable...I'd rather not pay 300+ dollars for an Azone, sorry! I know this sounds silly coming from a BJD collector.)

But here's a good package! I thought I should try to get some variety amongst them, but oh well, I just love silver hair, and her stock outfit looks awesome too. That wolf hat really got me, it's so cute and derpy at the same time <3 I know it would really suit Lila, my Tick Tock Rabbit Himeno, who will be an eccentric forest girl.

Of all the upcoming Pureneemo releases, luckily this one is the only one I need, so my wallet seems safe for a while. So, anyone else planning to get some new releases? :P

Azones - the official introductions

Yay, I finally got my two Azone girls "ready" - where I love the stock versions, of course, I like to play with my dolls to make them look like my own ;P So here we go, Maite and Shiri! I even made them a silly background story just because <3

(Uh oh, I need to show scissors to her bangs...)

Maite, a pastel lover and a magical girl who battles monsters representing mental illnesses. Shy, fragile, but has an immense power in her heart. When she is off-duty, she collects cute stuff and eats lots of cake. I want to sew her a sparkly outfit and build her a weapon and a mascot, hehe. (Yep, I love magical girls!)

And Shiri, Maite's girlfriend, manager and a PR person. Sly, lazy and sarcastic. When she's outside, she wears pastel goth stuff - but when she's home, she hangs in her underwear and fills her room with stuff about cute girls. Well, deep inside she does love Maite more than anything, even though it's hard for her to show it.

Shiri's a bad Instagram addict. I had to buy her a miniature phone just to photograph her shooting stuff xP

Hopefully you're not bored of Azones yet :D I know they are not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm addicted - and yep, I have even two more coming (Tick Tick Rabbit Himeno + Purimyure Yousei Kyoukai Lipu). I do have BJD stuff planned too - I'm planning to bring a camera and a doll with me to my parents' hometown for Easter holidays. Hopefully the weather will be okay! *knocks on wood*

Chocolate children

Yay, I got two of my tanned smaller dolls back from a makeup artist <3 These were done by shibya, and yet again I'm so very happy with her skills. They both look awesome!

First off is my tanned Angelregion Ren, Hal. Whoops, a funny thing happened and he changed gender from a girl to a boy/something. Hehe, well, Angelregion heads are unisex and he just looks more like a boy to me now.

He does not have a boy body though, I admit :P Angelregion's tan dolls are limited editions, old and rare, and I'm not even sure if Angelregion is in the BJD business anymore. So hunting down a tan boy body would be very difficult, and I don't want to mod this girl body as it's so rare. Luckily old Bluefairy/Angelregion girl bodies are not the most feminine ones out there, so I'm sure he'll pass well enough as a boy. I'm not going to photograph him naked anyway, I just don't do that with my smaller dolls. And hey, seriously speaking, what does it matter what's between his legs if he has the soul of a boy, really?

And here's Kiku (Pukifee Luna) with a new neutral, more natural face :3 It doesn't maybe suit her star eyes so well, but I ordered her some new sparkly acrylic eyes from Fel World in Taobao. My first Taobao purchase, exciting! We'll see how this goes, seems like a dangerous road xD

I attended a small meetup of local Azone /doll collectors the last weekend - no photos from me, sadly. I didn't bring my Canon along as I was lazy, and my iPhone is practically useless in such bad lightning :< But you can look at Sherimi's photos for example! I had a merry time, the people were really nice, and I got some dolls for my wishlist xD; Yes, I need a Picconeemo, and yes, an Azone with XS body...graaah. Addicting stuff :B Thank gods my BJD wishlist is very small right now!

The first Azone girls arrived

Yay, they're both here - Chiika hit the customs but that was expected and all ransoms kindly paid ^^ I quickly dug through my boxes to get 'em something to wear and took photos today to introduce my new girls.

This is Maite, Princess Chiika. I chopped off her default hair because I plan to re-wig her and needed to check the best size. So she'll temporarily wear this extra one I have, poor thing. Luckily Dollwig promised to ship her new shiny lavender hair very soon *3* (If you're curious, I think their 4 - 4.5 is a good size for Azones! It's bit tight so it takes some wiggling, pulling and squishing her poor vinyl head, but it stays on really well.)

She'll be a fairy kei girl with tons of pastel, nothing surprising there I guess...xP

And Shiri, who I bought nude and secondhand from Ebay. She's "Chersire Cat Aika" (I know! But Azone spelled it like that on her box xD). I don't yet know her style, but I'm thinking of something pastel goth-inspired. Her silver hair would look cool with black and purple, no? <3

Ah, they're so cute! And they're apparently planning to invite some friends and relatives over xD; Sly little things...

P.S. Now look at what Re-ment is releasing:

Sailor Moon Re-ments! Argh, one of my guilty pleasures...I need some. At least Usagi's and Chibi-Usa's sets. Let's cross fingers and hope they'll be available in Ebay after the official release and with reasonable prices. I don't really need the whole package. Or do I?
